This MCOC tier will go through all heroes in Marvel Contest of Champions to help you decide on the strongest ones to use in 2024’s update.
Overall, the best heroes in the game are Onslaught, Scorpion, and Shuri.
However, keep in mind that the game is extremely complex, and the best heroes will vary based on matchups, your play style, and recent buffs and nerfs. Thus, while you can use the tier list as a guide to help you decide on what to try, I highly recommend trying out any heroes you enjoy before settling on your favorite ones.
Important Note: While this tier list was made from scratch and is our own content, I have checked and taken into consideration the recent tier lists published by YouTubers Kingslayer MCOC and Lagacy.
S-Tier Heroes in MCOC – Best Heroes in Marvel Contest of Champions
S-Tier Heroes are overall amazing options to invest in. They are great in both attack and defense, have solid kits, can win most tough matchups, and you can’t go wrong with them.

Let’s explain these three heroes in further detail.
Onslaught
Onslaught is the latest addition to the game and, overall, the strongest hero in MCOC. He is the best mutant class available, primarily due to his long, heavy attack reach and his great damage over time.
While he is still finding his spot in the meta and players are adjusting to his kit, it seems like Onslaught will remain in the top tier for a while.
Scorpion
Scorpion is the best attacker in Marvel Contest of Champions. He is a 6-star with the best burst damage in the game, and you can easily nuke enemies within seconds.
Additionally, he can counter some of the other great attackers at the moment, like Tigra and Werewolf by Night.
Shuri
Lastly, Shuri is an amazing attacker and defender overall. She is one of the best champions for the Necropolis.
Her kit stands out as she can’t be parried. She has exceptionally high block damage, great specials, and has been a stable S-Tier option in almost every meta so far.
A-Tier Heroes
A-Tier heroes are almost equally strong as S-Tier ones but are slightly less versatile in terms of matchups. They are amazing choices, just slightly less strong than the ones in the upper tier.
